Silent Auction of Masterpiece
Adults attending classes at Skylark Studios have spent two weeks working on a large scale painting. Each were given a small section to copy onto a 30cm by 40cm board, at the beginning being unaware of the larger picture. Just copying as exactly as possible the small section they were given.
When all the sections are placed together they form an impressive acrylic painting 210cm by 160cm.
The picture was chosen by studio owner Louise Stebbing and is a Vincent Van Gogh painting showing a scene of blossom trees in Arles. (Wisbech's Twin Town).
The stunning picture is looking for a home and is to be autioned (by silent auction) for charity with proceeds going to local charity "West Anglia Crossroads".
The picture will be on display at Skylark Studios from Saturday 31st January to 28th February. With a special viewing day on Saturday 14th February from 1pm to 3pm. The auction will be by closed bids to be handed in or posted to Skylark Studios by no later than Wednesday 25th February.
